Most
golf clubs in the UK have by now received a complimentary email
subscription to our new Golf Club Direct service. This
service is fully optional and golf clubs can easily unsubscribe
from it by clicking on a link in the free subscription email they
received.
With
the web and email playing such a large part in all of our lives
these days, I felt it was time we started to communicate more efficiently
with golf clubs by using emails. So we have launched Golf Club
Direct, a free subscription service for UK golf clubs.
Golf
Club Direct is a new, email-only, business-to-business publication
from Hiseman Limited, who in 2003-04 helped the English Golf Union
to create the email-based 'EGU
Community' service. Golf Club Direct will be broadcast
free of charge to all golf clubs in the UK that have published their
email address. It will reach both the Club Secretary or Manager
and the PGA Professional. In time we hope to reach Head Greenkeepers
too.
In
Golf Club Direct we will carry commercial messages from
companies promoting golf products or services for golf clubs, and
from golf clubs that wish to communicate quickly and directly with

During
the development of the 'EGU
Community', almost 1,000 golf clubs in England received regular
emails from Hiseman Limited. These golf clubs already know that
we do not send excessive or irrelevant emails. Nor do we pass your
email address on to any third parties. Golf Club Direct
will only contain UK golf club-specific content, and is strictly
a business-to-business communication.
We
hope that in time the majority of the UK's golf clubs will receive
and read each issue of Golf Club Direct. Of course, you
can un-subscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the foot
of each email.
Our
first Golf Club Direct email was broadcast in November
2005 on behalf of soft drinks manufacturer Red Bull, promoting the
Red Bull
Final Five.
