Golf Management Group welcomes new franchisees

CHEADLE HULME, CHESHIRE, UK – Golf Management Group (GMG), which specialises in strategic cost management for almost 500 UK golf clubs, has announced its first new franchisees since it advertised for expressions of interest in ten UK regions earlier this year.

Melior Golf, headed by brothers Tim and Angus Lloyd-Skinner, has seized the opportunity to secure the Surrey, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire GMG regions, as well as parts of Greater London.

They have already begun to approach the region’s golf clubs, supported by the substantial Cheshire-based GMG Head Office team.

GMG uses the collective buying power of its members to negotiate supplier terms at attractive rates across a range of categories including Energy, Food & Beverage, Waste & Washroom Management and several others, saving GMG member clubs thousands of pounds each year.

The Lloyd-Skinner brothers are both former managers of North Weald GC in Essex.

“We are delighted to become part of GMG” said Tim Lloyd-Skinner, 29. “Both Angus and I had direct experience of working with GMG at North Weald GC, and we found nothing but positives. When the chance arose to take on a GMG franchise, it was a no-brainer.

“GMG is one of the UK golf industry’s fastest-growing businesses, and we are delighted to have the chance to help build on this success. We aim to highlight how simple it is for golf clubs to save money and management time through working with GMG”.

“The quality of applicants looking to join us as a franchisee has been phenomenal” said GMG director David Valentine. “We felt it was vital to choose new partners who share our passion for helping golf clubs, as well as having expert industry knowledge.

“Tim and Angus fulfil these attributes, and we are delighted to welcome them to our team in these crucial areas, which are home to some of the UK’s best-known golf clubs.”

Golf clubs in these regions wishing to explore the benefits of working with GMG should contact Tim Lloyd-Skinner by emailing tim@golfmanagementgroup.co.uk or calling 07973 157964.

In another year of substantial growth, GMG will shortly announce details of other new franchise agreements which have been agreed.

For more information on how your club can benefit from GMG, please call 0161 485 5410 or email info@golfmanagementgroup.co.uk to arrange for a member of the GMG team to visit you at your club.

Ends.
