NICKLAUS 25th ANNIVERSARY DEAL AT ST MELLION IN JULY AND AUGUST

ST MELLION, CORNWALL – Anniversary celebrations at St Mellion International Resort in Cornwall will reach a climax in July 2013 with a Festival of Golf and the launch of a special deal to celebrate 25 years of the resort’s famous Nicklaus Signature Course.

Golf’s most prolific Major-winner, Jack Nicklaus, has also given his thoughts on designing his unique layout at St Mellion in a new interview given to the Resort, reflecting on the golf course’s last 25 years.

The Nicklaus 25th Anniversary Deal, at £119, is only available in July and August 2013, and gives golfers 18 holes on the Nicklaus Signature Course, 18 holes on the Kernow Course (the resort’s second European Tour course), a room in St Mellion’s 4-Star Resort Hotel, a hearty 3-Course Dinner, and a Cornish Breakfast, plus full use of St Mellion’s Health Club which includes three pools.

“At this time of year The Nicklaus alone carries a green fee of up to £85 during the week, and £95 at the weekend,” said the resort’s Director of Golf David Moon, “so we think that playing both courses, with dinner, bed and breakfast in our hotel – and a swim and gym if you’re feeling energetic – for only just a little more money, is a fantastic deal.”

Alongside the special offer, St Mellion is running a special week-long Festival of Golf in mid-July, designed to encourage golfers from all over the UK to experience the atmosphere. The 25th Anniversary St Mellion Festival of Golf runs from Sunday 7th July to Saturday 13th July, and events include
